Street Art, Vintage shops and La Playa #travellintoBarcelona ☀☀

I'm back from my vacation to the beautiful, sunny city Barcelona and today I want to show you some impressions of my last 6 days. A little haul will be up next :).

First some things you have to know: Last Wednesday, the 13th of August I flew to Barcelona with my dad and my sister :). We arrived safe and we could check in in our hotel after a thirty minutes taxi drive. Our rooms were very, very clean and stylishly decorated. Our hotel "Hotel Colonial" was located perfectly, so we hadn't to use any public transportations. We could reach any destinations within a 15 min walk. We just had to walk along the harbor and at the end there was the beautiful beach "Platja de la Barceloneta". The beach and the sea were very awsome and I got a little bit tanned. The weather was very sunny at 30 degrees (and then I had to come back to the rainy Germany). We had so much fun and discovered new places everyday. I loved the little, old branched streets with all the cute ice cream shops, vintage shops, restaurants, bars and more. Also we were at "The Ramblas" which were very pulsated and interesting with all the restaurants. Also we visited the Picasso Museum and a Mammoth Museum (with a life-sized mammoth :D). We met many new people from all over the world (mainly from France), which was very nice. And then the day came: leaving Barcelona. And as you can tell I was very sad to leave, because I felt in love with this beautiful city. It was an overwhelming week and I really want to go back soon. I can 100 percent recommend this city, because it combines a beach vacation and a city trip perfectly. This place is literally one of my most favourite city ever. This was a short insight in my last 6 days (it was very hard to write it summarized because it happened sooo much :) ). Now I will show you some pictures I took to underlie what I wrote.

Secret hint: This restaurant has nice meals for less money ;)
Let me know in the comments if you have visited Barcelona aswell and I hope you liked my post :)
Have a nice week,

What's in my travel makeup-bag/carry-on bag?

Today I want to show you what's in my travel bag, make-up picks and random travel stuff, because as you might know, I will fly to Barcelona tomorrow (yey!). Because of the holiday season, I thought this post could help some of you in case you didn't know what to take with you. Let me know in the comments where you are going to in your holidays :).

First to make-up picks: I took everything in this little make-up bag, I got for free from Clinique a while ago (you can't imagine how proud I'm of myself because everything fit in this :D).  in my holidays I like to keep it very simple with my makeup or to wear no make-up, because in summer you don't need so much make-up. I just love to use a little bit of concealer. I mostly use my Maybelline Fit me Concealer in the shade 15, but because it's very light (and I will hopefully get a tan :D), I took my Catrice Camouflage Cream in the shade 020 light beige with me, which is a little bit darker. To fix everything, keep it in place and to cover shiny parts of my face, I use the Fit me powder from Maybelline in the shade 250 sun beige aswell, which hasn't much covering, so it's perfect for the summer.

Also I will take a blush with me, to add some colour to my face and to let me look fresher. This is my all-time favourite blush from Alterra in the shade 08 peachy, which is slightly more terracotta in its colour.
For going out at the evening, I've put my Alverde Eyeshadow Duo in 34 Mauve Harmony in my make-up bag, which is very handy, because you have not to take a palette with you :).

For mascara, I will take two with me, because I'm not sure which one :D. The one is waterproof and from Catrice, the Glamour Doll Mascara in the blue packaging and the other is the Clinique High Impact Mascara, which isn't waterproof (ironically it is :D).
For lips, I will take two lip care products with me: the Burts Bees Lip balm in Pomegranate and the labello Sun Protect lip balm with spf 30. To add a little bit of colour, I will take my Nyx butter gloss in 09 Vanilla Cream Pie and my Astor 8h Perfect Stay lipgloss in 012 Sweet Wood with me, because I want something light on my lips (and I would also be afraid, that my lipsticks would melt because of the hot weather :D). I will also take a 2- in 1 cream with me, for the hands and body, the New Charity Pot from Lush in a handy, little packaging.

Today I painted my nails with my Essie Sand Tropez nailpolish, which fits to every clothing item. If the nailpolish will flake, I took the nailpolish with me to correct the blemish. Also I will take a travel-sized nailpolish remover with me, which smells like coconut (and also a lot like a normal nailpolish remover :D).
Last item is a travel-sized perfume from Marc Jacobs called "Lola". This is a floral, warm scent.
Now to my hand luggage: For handluggage I will take my Bric's Weekender with me (no photo :( ). Here is a photo of the amount of things:
Sun hat, H&M cardigan, Sunglasses from mexx, Canon Powershot, city guide, "Der Wunschzettelzauber" by Muriel Zagha, pencil case from Pip Studio, hand santiziser, make-up bag, Garnier Ambre Solaire Dry Protect Sun Spray, purse from Fossil, hair bands, smartphone, iPod nano, tangle teezer, sleeping mask

So this is the end of this post. Hope you liked it and I wish you all a great holiday. :)
See you next week,
Karina <3

Food Diary (4th August-10th August)

Hello there :) Today I want to write a post about what I've eaten this week. I don't know if this is interesting but I've seen many blog posts and youtube videos about it, so I wanted to try it out. I took photos from every meal, besides some expections. If you are not interested in this post, you can skip it and stay tuned for my next post, which is an "What's in my travel bag" on tuesday. Let's get this started :)

Monday,4th August:

For breakfast I had a bread with Tonka cream (milk-nut cream) and a tea (I'm a daily tea drinker :D), which was an Egypt Amun Tea (pomegranate- honey tea) from Messmer.

Now to lunch: I ate a potion potatoes with chicken with a cream sauce, which contained nectarines and paprika. With it a green tea from Alnatura.

Afternoon Snack: Raspberry Sorbet Ice (my all time favourite :) ). Also I read a book called Silber (had to be mentioned), the second part from a triology by Kerstin Gier, such a great book!

For dinner I ate four toasts (with ham, cream cheese and Fol Epi cheese) and various cheese and two cherry tomatoes filled with cream cheese. I also drunk a green smoothie from rio d'oro (contains kiwi, ananas and lime). Sorry for the bad lightning, but it was dark outside and I had to turn on the lamp.

Tuesday, 5th August:

In the morning I ate natural yoghurt with sliced banana and spelt cereals. I drunk a multivitamin juice from Hohes C.

Lunch:
For lunch I ate vegetable noodles with a zuchini, tomato, paprika, meat sauce. With it water without carbonet.

This day, my afternoon snack was just a strawberry yoghurt.
My dinner was very similar to the dinner one day before. I ate one bread (half ham, half cream cheese) and with it some various cheese (also feta cheese, my ultimate favourite :D). For drink I had an almond drink from Alnatura.

Wednesday, 6th August:

For breakfast I had a croissant with butter and the Messmer Amun Tea in my favourite cup ever.

Now to lunch time. So this was exactly the same like the day before, because I had so much of it still (added with some feta cheese) and water without carbonet.

My afternoon snack were some yoghurt gums.

In the evening I ate a bread (one half with salami, the other with cream cheese), various cheese, like always :D and cherry tomatoes filled with cream cheese. Also I ate tomatoes with pepper and olive oil. I drunk a orange butter milk. Afterwards I ate a strawberry yoghurt.

Thursday, 7th August:
My breakfast consisted of two toasts with the almond tonka cream (very spectacular :D) and a tea from Twinings tea (the peachy one).
For lunch I ate my new favourite meal: a millet pan (you have to wash the millet, then cook it with the double quantity water, let it swell, next step: roast some chicken and paprika, zuchini, tomatoes or whatever you want and then you put in some tomatoe sauce and add some pepper, salt or other spice, put the millet in the pan and let it cook for some more minutes and finished is the perfect, simple meal. My tip: garnish it with some cream cheese and it's perfect) Again water without carbonet.

For my afternoon snack I ate a cactus ice. Also I read a new book called "Der Wunschzettelzauber" which is very good (I'm still not soo far :D).

For dinner I ate two breads (fresh bread is the best!) with a tomatoe cream and a caraway cream, also various cheese and cherry tomatoes filled with cream cheese). This day I drunk a mango fanta, which is very tasty. Afterwards I ate a strawberry yoghurt on the balcony in the sun (yey).

Friday, 7th August:

Breakfast Time:
That day something uncomplicated, because I hadn't much time. This is a drink with instant cereals mixed with a iron juice (contains raspberry, tomato, pomegranate...).

My lunch was also very simple, because I hadn't much time. I ate a rice pan with some vegetable and I drunk water without carbonet.
No afternoon snack that day, so straight to my dinner. Fresh bread with cream cheese and I drunk water (well, that was a simple day :D)

Saturday, 9th August
For breakfast, I ate a breakfast mash with banana slices and blueberries (I swear this meal makes you very fed up :D)

My lunch was something more interesting: a spinach tarte with cream cheese and also tomatoes and mozzarella garnished with basil. Also I drunk water without carbonet. (sorry for the upcoming quality, I had to take the photos with another camera, because the accu from my Canon was empty)
My afternoon snack was a crepe filled with nutella, I got from the funfair in our city (sorry, I didn't took a photo).

My dinner (no photo) were some pommes with ketchup at the lake (very healthy :D).

Sunday, 10th August
For breakfast I had two toasts (one with the almond tonka cream and one with cream cheese), also I had an egg and drunk the Amun tea (in this photo i forgot to put the cream cheese at the toast and photographed the toast without anything, I'm such an idiot :D)

My lunch were some potatoes with herb quark and salmon pieces. Also I drunk water without carbonet (I think I don't have to mention this, because I drink water very often with my meals :D)

For dinner I had barbecue at my sister's, which was very tasty. Afterwards I had straciatella ice cream.

That was my food diary for this week. Hope you enjoyed it and I could inspired some of you :). Let me know in the comments if I should do food diaries more often.
Have a nice week,
Karina <3
